Interview with Mel Comley Empty
PostSubject: Interview with Mel Comley   Interview with Mel Comley EmptyThu Aug 02, 2012 1:21 am

Interview Questions.

1. When and why did you decide to become an Indie writer?

I decided to become an iIndie writer about a year ago because so many "big"
publishing houses aren't accepting new writers. I wanted to get my work out
there, send my readers to another world. Indie publishing allowed me to do
that.

1. What genre do you write in and what genre do you prefer to read?

Currently I write within the paranormal romance/erotica genre. What woman
doesn't want her alpha male creeping into her bedroom? Lol. I wanted to
make women go to bed so hot they would view their sexuality as empowering
and right. I wanted to give them freedom.

1. Where do you sell most books, USA or UK, Amazon or Barnes and Noble?

Much of my books are on the CreateSpace or Smashwords channels currently. I
am available on Amazon, B&N, and other eBook venues.

1. During your childhood who was your biggest influence?

My mother. She worked multiple jobs sometimes just to take care of the
three of us. I saw her and wanted to do the same and more for my children.

1. Are you fortunate enough to write full-time?

Oh my God no! But I would love that, what author wouldn't. One day I hope
to be able to write full-time, so I have to get my reades behind me.

1. If Hollywood came knocking who would you want to play your main

character?

No, and I say that becase I want someone who embodies my character. I know
her, she talks to me all the time, but she is her own person. I want a
chace to see her come to life before my eyes. I would love that.

1. Name 6 people, dead or alive, you’d love to have as guests seated

around your dinner-table.

Edgar Allen Poe, Billie Holiday, Michael Jackson, Emma Holly, Kate Douglas,
and Christine Warren.

1. What one piece of advice have you found the most important in your

writing career?

Never stop writing. Stephen didn't make it over night. Try the best you can
and never give up on your love. It's a passion for a reason.

What are your plans for the coming year?

Trying to get three more books out there. I currently am working on a Fairy Drag Mother series. I also have an event in the works to promote the stories and get into in depth Q&A. I also have a brand new wesite being built to post all of my novels and get out there with readers.
And finally, if you were stranded on a desert island what 3 books would you choose to have with you?

Wow. Wolf Tales (any of them!), Wolf at the Door, and Big Bad Wolf.
